A Freeman's Safari Experience
At Freeman’s, our main goal is to maximise your time out with the animals. We make every experience unique and make sure you leave with lifetime memories.
Read Mike’s review below; of his stay with us, which he captured it so well we have no words to add.
If you’re reading this as one of Freeman Safaris’ return visitors then you’ll already know why this is another 5-star review. If, like I was, you are deciding whether or not to go then here is the short version of my review: JFDI. You won’t regret it.
Now for the longer version. What FS is not, is the sugar-coated nicely-packaged tourist safari where you are chauffeured around in luxury Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs on two drives per day, ticking off the big five one by one. Nothing wrong with this if that’s your bag but it isn’t what FS offers. Instead, what you are given is the opportunity to explore the Maasai Mara at your own pace in the company of an expert guide (in my case Milton, who not only had eyes like a hawk but could drive through some of the worse conditions I have experienced anywhere). Conservatively I reckon I saw (and photographed) over 40 different mammals, reptiles, and insects and over 50 species of birds, most of which I’d have missed without my guide. And I was put in a prime position to capture a spectacular wildebeest migration across the Mara.
You will also get very comfortable accommodation, superb cooking, spot-on organisation, Land Rovers adapted for photography, and Brian Freeman and his staff who make you feel so welcome and are genuinely interested in your day. The evening beer by the open fire is a great way to unwind and share experiences.
I can’t recommend FS highly enough.
