Meals play such an important part in the day’s routine. You will be surprised just how hungry you get; and at the delicious meals our chef provides. Everything is cooked fresh daily, including bread from the charcoal oven, soups, salads, roasts, barbeques and puddings. We cater for all tastes and accommodate all dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.
Every morning a big hamper of sandwiches and cakes is prepared for the morning chai or coffee, which we carry for the mid-morning snack break. If we’ve happened to find the perfect spot, we’re waiting for the right shot or you have opted to go out for a full-day game drive, we include a plated lunch at no extra cost lunch so we don’t miss any of the action!
We return to camp for lunch where the action doesn’t stop. Here you overlook the animals that visit us, such as zebras, hippos, elands, etc. We enjoy hearty meals to re-energise us for the afternoon’s drive. Tea and coffee is available at all times. At 1530Hrs, we go out again for an evening game drive returning to camp at last light.
Our evenings begin with pre-dinner house drinks such as Tusker beer, wine, gin and tonic but no spirits; and samosas by the fire place. Alcohol is only served in the evening. We sit down at a candle-lit table, enjoying a relaxing traditional meal and discussing the day’s events. Then we enjoy a coffee before being escorted to our cottages and tents for a good night’s sleep.
